In the world there are a lot of different languages and variations of names. Since not every celebrity is from an English speaking country to some people pronouncing names is hard. What matters is how you react to not being able to pronounce something.

There are multiple celebrities who aren't from English speaking countries but end up living in them. So why is it so hard for people to try to say it correctly? Or when they're corrected on it and they still argue against it. It's odd to me that people are so close minded that when they're corrected about something they just go against it and say it's not true without any research.
The Skarsgårds
In the internet there are multiple videos of interviewers talking about the family or of them and constantly pronouncing the å wrong. In Swedish it's pronounced more like O than A. It's an interviewers job to know about the celebrities and pronouncing their name wrong is not professional.
There have also been a lot of people who argue against the people who pronounce it correctly. Once on TikTok there was a video of a woman talking about them and she pronounced the å exactly how it's supposed to be pronounced. Yet the comments were filled with people telling her that she's wrong. Great examples of this: "Skars GARD" and "Pronounce the name properly would be a start." How can a person be so loud yet so wrong? When the commenters were told that they're wrong they started going on and on about how it's pronounced but they had no actual idea of it.
Cillian Murphy
In no universe do I see it possible for people to pronounce it wrong yet they still do. I find it weird how someone even could pronounce it with S. The name Sillian just does not sound right. So for people wondering it's pronounced like Killian. Like Kill-Ian. Not Chill-Ian. It's an Irish name and since the Irish alphabet doesn't have a K in it it's used as a C.
In an interview Murphy expressed that the worst way he has heard his name pronounced is "sea lion". Even a small amount of common knowledge would help to think of how it's said. Of course it's not the worst thing to happen when someone says Sillian instead of Cillian like Killian but how on earth do you say sea lion?
The lack of knowledge for other cultures is concerning. If you don't know how to pronounce something look it up. Not on chatGPT or anything else AI related but just google it. It's unnecessary to start arguments over something you can find out about in a minute. It's not bad to be wrong but it's bad to be ignorant. Especially since people are so comfortable on social media nowadays. I could never post something without doing proper research.
I can say that I do not know how to pronounce every single name in the word but before pronouncing it I do a one minute research on the topic.
